Leamore Construction Ltd. is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment as a prerequisite to our operations. To achieve this aim we have put in place a comprehensive management system for managing Safety Health and welfare, throughout all areas of our operations which enables us to fulfil our legal duties to our employees, contractors and members of the general public alike and meet our statutory obligations.

All sites are regularly audited by our health and safety team in order to ensure compliance with systems and procedures; audit results are reviewed and immediate corrective action taken if and when required. Regular reviews are then undertaken at senior management level of audit result and performance and measures implemented to achieve continuous improvement. Leamore has managed works safely during a period of growth and expansion and has in place the experience, staff methods and procedures to continue doing so in the future.

The safety policy of Leamore construction Ltd is to do all that is reasonably practicable to secure the Safety, Health & Welfare of our employees whilst at work and all other persons including members of the public who may also be affected by Leamore Construction Ltd operations.

Gerard McIntyre of Leamore Construction Ltd has successfully completed the Construction Industry Federation’s “Management in Construction Course”. The purpose of this is to ensure that Safety and Health eligibility are taken into account at the tender planning stage of each contract and to enable monitoring/auditing of all work for the duration of each contract.

The company achieves a consistently high standard of employee client/general public safety on its contracts by progressive management involvement through pre-planning, careful communication of safety aims, rigorous general/skills safety training and thorough internal/external auditing along with audit follow-up procedures.

Every member of Leamore Construction Ltd has participated in the Safe Pass Scheme and specific construction skill certification training is provided for specific plant/work-atheight related matters.

It is Company policy that every employee’s tasks are regularly audited, unannounced, and training/site induction are carried out in a manner that prepares all employees for this approach to Safety, Health & Welfare in Leamore Construction Ltd. Workplaces.

The company’s Safety Statement is updated to the 2005 Act and all changes are communicated to staff through tool- box talks and all staff are invited to input suggestions regarding the content and style of the Safety Statement.

Site specific risk assessments are undertaken prior to the commencement of every contract. External consultants are employed for this purpose to ensure that the Leamore Construction Ltd approach to safety has as wide a scope as possible.

The company is progressive and seeks to carry out all tasks in the most up to date manner while ensuring that staff and employees of our contractors and our own employees are enabled to pursue their work in a safe and healthy manner.
